- 2 pound chuck roast
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 small white onion chopped
- 1 small green pepper chopped
- 1 stalk celery thinly sliced
- 16 ounces canned stewed tomatoes undrained
- Combine flour, salt and pepper then beat onto both sides of meat.
- In large skillet heat oil over medium high heat then brown meat.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer 2 hours.
